Update:Regarding the situation of Japan about COVID-19 on 26th May | Report from Pressio

Writer: Pressio・Kenta KanamoriPressio・Kenta Kanamori

Hope that your business are doing well and have not been affected by COVID-19 so much too.

Our PM, Shinzo Abe, officially announced that the state of emergency lifted last night ( on25th May ), therefore we are able to get back to business gradually, including offices, factories, shops, restaurants etc,

However theaters, Karaoke, bars, like that spots where there is possibility that the cluster would happen are still not allowed to re-open yet.

I am sharing with all companies which are related to Pressio about the details including Pressio policy as well here today.

Japanese government had requested that all people in Japan stay at home as much as they can since the beginning of April, but the request lifted officially last night ( on 25th May ).

However, it doesn't mean that the virus vanished, hence Japanese government and local governments still hope that all people in Japan will stay at home as much as we can if we don't have an urgent matter.

Also they indicates that if the infected case number increases dramatically again, they will take the same action (request us to stay at home strictly) again.

< General information of Japan >

According to Japan ministry of health on 26rd May 2020,

the number of infected cases is 16,623 altogether, the deaths is 846 cases, and the number of discharge is 13,810 cases.

Hence it means that roughly 2,000 people are under the treatment for now in Japan.

Japanese population is around 126,500,000, thus the ratio of current infected case is less than 0.002%.

That's why Japanese government also decided to make the request lifted.

We know, a lot of people especially people in overseas feel it's a little strange that Japan can be successful to control the virus and that why Japan dare not to have conducted a lot of PCR tests.

Actually ABC NEWS of Australia reports the background well as follows,

If you're interested, it might be better to check their website.

According to TV news, those who pass at a major station of Tokyo, like Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Shinagawa etc has increased by 5% compared to last week.

It means that there are still lots of business persons who can work at/from home keep working at home apparently.

Particularly local governments of Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, and Saitama still requests that we refrain from going to other prefectures until 18th June, even if the purpose of that is for business.

Also, the local government of Tokyo shows us some guidelines about how to reopen the business for each industry, like step-1, step-2, and step-3.

The local government will decide the stage (step-1 to 3 ) with monitoring the infected case number.

< Situation of Pressio >

We Pressio has also restarted since 26th May, and all sales member of Pressio have begun to visit our customer's office, and all factory members also started to work at our factory.

In addition, our members who can work at/from home, they can keep doing that for increasing their productivity.

( Fortunately all members of Pressio are safe until now. )

In terms of people from overseas,

Japan Minister of Foreign Affairs announced on 22nd May that the immigration restrictions from all overseas countries will be kept, and it's estimated that it will have been kept until the end of June.

Also, all people from overseas (including Japanese people) will be requested by Japanese government to standby at accommodation or home for 14 days.

In addition, the Minister of Foreign Affairs seems to plan to lift the restrictions with 3 steps after confirming that the virus settles down.

Business persons belongs to the 1st step, and exchange students belongs to the 2nd step.

Tourists belongs to the 3rd step, and it's said that the 3rd step needs long time to conduct.

Therefore, when you have a plan to visit Japan, we would like to recommend that you should check the Japanese government policy beforehand.

However, Pressio has already reopened, and we have actually begun some projects which are related to overseas markets again.

Thus, we would conduct experiments with your applications (samples ) or similar ones for you in our factory, if you needed.

Of course we will reply your questions within 24 hours, thus if you had any questions or interests, please feel free to ask us anytime.

Again, we strongly hope that you, your family, your friends, and your colleagues are all safe, and hope that the virus will be over ASAP whole the world.

It is said that we can not get back to previous normal life, but it can not be helped, there is no need to be worried about that too much, I suppose.

In my opinion, it's the most important to correspond to some changes after the virus coming to an end.

Everything has two aspects, like good effects and bad effects.

This virus will also provide us with some benefits as well in the future.

For example, a lot of Japanese companies have recognized that we can keep the business with telework, and it will lead to better future to us, such as spending time with family more, focusing on an own pastime more etc.

After grasping the changes and situations after the virus settling down for the moment, we can also challenge new business too, I believe.

Please take good care of yourself too.
