Hope that your business has not been affected by COVID-19 so much too.
Our PM, Shinzo Abe, officially announced the current situation of Japan and the updated government policy, thus we would like to share with all companies which are related to Pressio about the details here.
Our government had requested all Japanese people to have stayed at home as much as we can since the beginning of April, but the request policy has been changed.
Except for 8 prefectures, Hokkaido, Chiba, Saitama, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hyogo, the other 39 prefectures will resume since 15th May.
As a matter of fact, the increased infected case numbers of the above 8 prefectures have decreased gradually since around one week ago, but in order to avoid the second big wave of the virus coming, all people in the 8 prefectures have still been requested that they will stay at home (as much as they can) until the end of this month.
( It's including me.... )
< General information of Japan >
According to Japan ministry of health on 13rd May 2020,
the number of infected cases is 16,024 altogether, and the deaths is 668 cases.
It appears that the case number is relatively huge, but the increasing ratio in itself has been decreased dramatically for recent one week.
Therefore it's said that there is possibility that the government will decide to re-open the above 8 prefectures as well in 21st May.
Also, as I explained last time, the request from Japanese government is not " lockdown " but " request " , therefore some business persons still commute, and some shops have kept their business yet in the above 8 prefectures too.
Currently there are lots of companies which have to keep paying their fixed costs ( such as rent fee, salary of the employees etc ), and they are concerned about the economy.
Hence even though we are worried about the virus, some companies have already re-opened their businesses.
< Situation of Pressio >
We Pressio has also followed the request and the staff members in the above 8 prefectures almost have kept working from home, and fortunately our business has not been affected so much by the virus, and all members of Pressio are safe until now.
Pressio staff members in the above 39 prefectures will resume with the government announcement, but we will keep monitoring the infected case numbers of Japan for the moment.
In terms of Pressio factory, it's located in Nagoya city which belongs to the above 39 prefectures, thus all factory members will also begin to work at our factory again.
However, because of visitors safety, we're afraid but we have stopped accepting visitors coming to either our factory or our branch for the machine training or the demonstration for the moment.
Instead, we would conduct experiments with your applications (samples) or similar ones for you in our factory, and we would report back to you asap.
Of course we will reply your questions within 24 hours, thus if you had any questions or interests, please feel free to ask us anytime.
Again, we strongly hope that you, your family, your friends, and your colleagues are all safe, and hope that the virus settles down ASAP.
It is said that we can not get back to previous life, but it can not be helped, there is no need to be worried about that too much, I suppose.
In my opinion, it's the most important to correspond to some changes after the virus coming to an end.
As CEO of TOYOTA says, management means " to survive ".
Compared to be worried about future or to predict the future, it should be more important to quickly correspond to the changes in post Corona virus era, I'm supposed.
Please take good care of yourself too.
